Can’t find a wedding checklist that fits you? It’s okay, all brides are different and it’s common to not find a checklist that fits you. However, you are always free to make your wedding checklist which you will be more comfortable with. Here are some tips on how you can create your own wedding checklist:
1. Break Down the Months
After getting to know that you are going to tie the knot, starting breaking down the months to your wedding day. This will give you some sort of a timeline and deadline for you to accomplish the tasks. It also allows you to see exactly how many months you have to get everything ready. If your wedding is going to happen in less than a year, you would then need to reconsider on how you would want to manage since it would be hectic and rushed.
2. List Down Everything
List down everything you want to do without caring whether it is a big deal or a small one. After listing them down and categorizing them, take out tasks that are simpler and doable by your Maid of Honour and put them under her checklist.
3. Prioritize
After giving some of the easier tasks to your Maid of Honour, you now have to decide on which tasks must be settled at the earlier stage of the checklist. Try to even out the tasks for every month so you won’t feel burdened or pressured.
4. Ask Your Bridesmaids
After you’ve done with your wedding checklist, ask your bridesmaids on their opinions. You might be surprise if they tell you that they are able to help you accomplish some of the tasks. They might also give you insightful advice on your arrangements. Your bridesmaids can also recommend you some vendors so that you don’t have to go around looking for them.
5. Remember To Set Your Budget
This is very, very important to make sure you don’t overspend! Be mindful of the expenses and go around and do some research before deciding on a vendor. Also, be realistic about your budget because at the end of the day, no bride and groom wants to end up in debts!
