SHARK SAVERS COUPLE CHALLENGE ACCORDED IN MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS
February 15th 2015 – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – In conjunction with Wedding.com.my and global shark conservation NGO WildAid Shark Savers, the Shark Savers Couple Challenge accorded a Malaysia Book of Records for the Most Number of “Taxi” Bridal Cars. There are 34 couples participating on Shark Savers Couple Challenge in One City, Subang Jaya with 40 taxis decorated as bridal cars sponsored by MyTeksi.
These 34 couples are on the mission to spread awareness to save the extinction of sharks and they have to travel around the KL region which comprises of Aquaria KLCC, Farm In the City and IOI City Mall. All couples in their costumes must deck out in full bridal regalia by Precious, Redbliss, Stareast and Aspial Wedding, while other competes in shark-costumes. There are celebrities attended and supported the meaningful event, by Steve Yap, Crystal Ong, Ryan, Annette Chan, Mark and Brandon.

At 10.30AM, all participants had a group photoshoot and the Flag off begin with all 40 taxi bridal cars heading to their respective destination. Each couple made haste to their several check-points complete the exciting missions in an effort to pledge I’m FINished with FINs.
At KLCC Aquaria, couples are tasked to identify types of sharks and learn about saving shark extinction. At Farm in the City, couples also enjoyed learning about feeding and caring for the animals. The challenge heightens at Poh Kong whereby each couple are to compose a song that comprises “Shark Savers”, “Wedding.com.my” and “Poh Kong”. 6 couples also walk away with RM1,000 worth of Poh Kong jewellery for being able to complete a Poh Kong challenge.
The event ended with an official from Malaysia Book of Records presenting a certificate to Wedding.com.my, MyTeksi and Shark Savers for recording the “Most Number of “Taxi” Bridal Cars” in Malaysia, followed by the prize presentation ceremony. The Grand Prize worth RM5,000 Poh Kong jewellery goes to Wong Chin Hee and Cherry Eng Koj Gek from Wong & Cherry team. The first runner-up was presented to George Lim Hau Hsie and Melissa Loh Ping Yong from Team Silly Fish winning a total RM 3,000 worth of cash vouchers from Poh Kong. The second runner-up goes to Wong Tai Kaey and Ling Boon Yen from Team Saltfish Cabbage; winning them a total of RM2, 000 worth of cash vouchers from Poh Kong. The third and fourth runner up each took home Sky 360° buffet vouchers.
Shark Savers Couple Challenge is a successful event in collaboration with Wedding.com.my and MyTeksi to raise awareness and unite all participating couples and celebrities in a mission to promote I’m FINished with FINs.
