The wedding of the year had finally happened today (31st Oct 2017). Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo who had captured fans’ hearts with the hit TV show ‘Descendants of the Sun’ tied the knot at a private ceremony with only 250 of their close friends and relatives in attendance.
Though heavily guarded, this did not hinder many fans from trying to catch a glimpse of the happy couple, with fans from all over the world booking rooms at the Shilla Seoul’s Yeong Bin Gwan to do so. However, no photo ops or media coverage was allowed in the event. Even so, some videos and images were captured via drones by the media and fans and have been released. The wedding had also managed to trend on Twitter, with the hashtag #SongSongCoupleWedding.
The images capture Song Hye Kyo dressed in a simple and elegant dress, and Song Joong Ki dressed very smartly in a suit. The couple looked radiant and happy, with Song Joong Ki even shedding some tears during the ceremony. The wedding was attended by a star-studded guest list, including Zhang Zhi Yi, stars from the hit variety show Running Man, as well as cast members from the Descendants of the Sun.
The ceremony was officiated by Song Joong Ki’s close friend, and singer-turned-musical actress Ock Joo-hyun, Song Hye-kyo’s close friend, was invited to sing for the couple. In addition to that, Park Bo Gum was also invited to perform, whilst Lee Kwang Soo and Yoo Ah In were invited to read personal letters to the couple.

Oh my lord these videos are so sweet and heart-melting. Personally, I think the private affair made it even more magical and intimate. The couple had reportedly planned to have their honeymoon in Europe, but will not leave immediately, instead will be spending some time settling into their new abode.
