When it comes to wedding, it is all about celebrating this day with the people who played an important role in your life, people who you couldn’t imagine not having at your wedding . No matter you’re still months away from your wedding, you should start to plan your wedding guest list once you decided to get marry. Planning the guest list will never be an easy task.

The most important thing is to pick those people who you want to share memory with, so take your time to choose before you invite anyone and clear your expectations on choosing the right guests. Discuss the guest list with your parents and also your partner will be a good idea as you can avoid any unwanted surprises. In tradition, the couple will gets half of the guest list, and each set of parents gets a quarter of the guest list. For example you are inviting 200 people, so you will get 100 guests, your parents will get 50, and your fiancé/ fiancée’s parents will get another 50.

Your budget and the venue size are the main factors that should play into this decision. So decide on the venue before you start to plan your guest list. It is much better to keep your number on the conservative side. Then, if you end up having more space than you thought you would, add them later on.

‘ Who should be invited to the wedding? ‘- This is a common question asked by many couple. There is a best way to solve this ‘headache’ question, all you have to do is to jot down all the names of everyone you could ever imagine attending your wedding. From primary school friends to college friends. Then make two lists, which separated the ‘must invite guest’ and ‘normal guest’ into two different list. Then you plan the ‘normal guest’ list according to your budget.

Remember, plan early and avoid last minute add ons!
