Hong Kong “it girl” and fashionista Feiping Chang married her financier fiancé Lincoln Li in a three-day extravagant wedding in June. The couple tied the knot in front of 130 of their closest friends and family at the picturesque Villa Lysis in Capri, Italy.
The 150 guests were welcomed to Capri, Italy with customised straw baskets, sunglasses, maps and fans for the three-days of wedding activities.
The bride and groom hosted a welcome dinner at Ristorante Da Paolino Capri on the first night. The theme? Lemons. Personalised tiles finished off the tables setting and lemons made for the perfect centrepieces. They were a favourite among guests, appearing on Instagram throughout the event. The bride informed her followers on Instagram that the “The lemon print fabric was hand drawn and custom made with our names entwined in lemon flowers.” A lemon stand was also set up at the resturant, complete with the couple’s name in lights.
The bride wore custom gowns designed by Moiselle.
The spread was worthy of the event.
On day two, the bride chose Dolce and Gabbana as she and her groom boated their guests to Nerano to celebrate at the bride’s favourite beach club, La Conca del Sogno.
Extravagant wedding means extravagant place… The couple are the first to marry at Villa Lysis. They were granted permission after they helped reconstruct the local tourist attraction. The bride chose frothy white Giambattista Valli to walk down the picturesque aisle.
“Emotions were running high all week and honestly I was very anxious. But the second I managed to walk down the stairs without tripping and saw my man waiting for me, nothing else mattered” the bride wrote on Instagram.
“The government has never allowed a wedding to be done [at Villa Lysis]. It took a lot of work, but we’re so happy that we were able to help and refurbish this historical monument” Feiping told to HongKongTatler. “We actually built an entire bridge to link the grounds of the villa to the rooftop.”
The bride was accompanied by eight bridesmaids, all of which wore white.
After the wedding, guests were treated to a dessert room, literally dripping in flowers. The reception was held at Villa Lysis and, to complete this extravagant wedding, filled with flowers.
“The villa is really high on a cliff, and we planned a lot of little surprises along the way as people were going up,” Feiping explained. “We had local bands playing, and we changed some of the street and restaurant signs along the way into our names.”
“My fantasy #tablescape came to life. The white flower and leaf are edible, handcrafted out of sugar,” the bride wrote on Instagram of the reception table settings. Note the custom plates.
The bride took the opportunity to change into her second Giambattista Valli gown of the day. Complete with pink flowers on the bodice and a sheer overlay, the gown was ideal for dancing. The wedding ended with toasts, champagne and fireworks, of course.
